Drive For Diversity

Drive for Diversity is a driver and crew member development program created as an initial step in a long-term solution to diversify NASCAR’s participant and audience base.

Drive For Diversity has appointed PIT Instruction & Training to be the official Crew Member Development Partner of Drive for Diversity. PIT assists in recruiting, assessment and training of potential pit crew members.

Interested candidates are invited to provide relevant materials to Drive For Diversity or PIT Instruction & Training. Selected applicants are invited to participate in testing and evaluation events. For the crew program, athletic skill and tactical ability will be considered key qualities for “over the wall” pit crew members, as candidates will be training for live pit action in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Busch Series events.

Crew candidates will be invited to participate in an initial informational session and interview for the opportunity to be invited to attend a crew evaluation combine. Selected crew candidates will then receive “over the wall” pit crew training and instruction from PIT Instruction & Training and its PIT CREW U program, with placement opportunities among various NASCAR Series teams.

Drive for Diversity is a long-term initiative aimed at developing a steady pipeline of well-trained and supported ethnic and gender minority drivers and crew members. Interested drivers and crew members should send resumes, videotapes, on-track photos, race results, references and other supporting materials to:

Drive For Diversity
Suite 170
1435 West Morehead Street
Charlotte, North Carolina 28208

Applicant information can be e-mailed to crew@drivefordiversity.com . Please note that applicant resumes and supporting materials will not be returned.

For more information, visit the official DRIVE FOR DIVERSITY website.

*The "Drive for Diversity" program is not a full-time position and does not make guarantees or promises of employment with any racing organization. "Drive for Diversity" provides opportunities for training that may potentially lead to additional opportunities for certain Candidates.
